Branded Print Ad:Reflection

 1.         I really enjoyed this project, however as much as i'm a supporter for my brand, i believe that my logo did not work well in the ad, i don't know if it was the italic font or if the logo was to complex which honestly breaks me because my whole goal with the logo was simplicity so maybe ill have to go back to the drawing board in terms of the logo. If i do keep the logo i might have to work on positioning and overall finding out what type of photos the logo does work in. Besides the font and the positioning another problem might be the color of the logo, when really analyzed the color of the logo could make a huge difference on the ad and its effectiveness, being able to perfectly execute color in my logo to the point where it complements the picture could honestly be a game changer and might be bale to change my opinion. Anyway without overthinking it i have to remember that my main goal is simplicity, i don't want to go above and beyond on a logo, being able to keep it simple would allow me to keep the viewers main point/attention on the ad and not the logo, having their attention on the logo wouldn't allow them to truly interpret the ad.

2.      My brand research helped with my ad because it gave me a vision and the brand research showed me how to keep my brand ad really simple yet effective. the branded ad research taught me that the use of simple words like "feel" or "play" work a long way and although they are small words they play a key role in the ad and overall speak to the viewer in a direct yet effective way. i can definitely say that the brand research inspired my final ad. the one thing i will say im jealous about the branded ad did better than me is the fact that they were able to make the logo work in their ad, and the fact that they were able to make it look so easy honestly made me frustrated, it made me question the simplicity o my logo as ive stated before. However, when talking about the positives the branded ad research made me realize how important having a sans serif font id to keeping the simplicity of the ad, a font with a serif would've gave it a vintage look that i wasn't looking for, however i will admit that when it came time to add the quote in the ad i did use a font with a serif, but in my defense i believe that the mixture of both fonts works well and helps the ad maintain balance.

3. I can most definitely state that my brand values are shown in the ad. the font shows the goal of simplicity The model and setting in the ad also help show that our brand is made for athletes. The person in the ad is shown either working out or just finishing a workout, which helps show that the clothes are made for people who move. It tells the viewer that this brand understands what athletes go through and what they need. We didn’t use a busy background or bright colors—instead, we kept it natural and calm. This shows that the brand is honest, real, and not trying to be something it’s not.

4.After looking at how my logo appeared in the ad, I realized that it didn’t work as well as I wanted. One of the main problems was the size. It was too small, and it didn’t stand out against the background. When people look at the ad, they might not even notice the logo, which is a problem because the logo is a big part of how people recognize the brand. Another issue was the structure of the logo. It’s a bit too detailed for the clean and simple style of the ad. Since my brand is about simplicity and is made for athletes, I think the logo needs to match that better. A simpler, bolder logo would be easier to see and remember, especially in ads where the design is minimal. If I were to change the logo, I would make it more bold and clear. I would keep it simple—maybe just a clean shape or strong letters. It should be something that fits with the calm and focused feeling of the brand. A better logo would help people remember the brand and connect it to the values of simplicity and performance that we stand for.

FINAL AD:)
