(Spot Healing Brush Tool)

Before

After

For this picture I used the spot healing brush to remove the teammate out of the picture and also remove the badges on stefon diggs’s jersey. I did this in order to firstly truly make diggs the main attention grabber in the picture and also by removing the badges I brought true emphasis to his number on the jersey and the font of that number as well as the outline

Add Objects

I will admit that this is my worst one out of the three. When I first saw these mountains I wanted to build on them and overall just make them seem endless but the more I tried the more I realized that this tool is really hard to use and requires a lot of situational awareness, if you don’t know where your cursor is, you will mess up. With that being said I don’t think I executed this the way I would’ve liked but I was going for the idea of never ending mountains

Remove Objects

(Content Aware Tool)

This one too I will admit did not come out the way that I wanted it to but I tried to make it work, I removed the receiver out of the picture to make the catch the vocal point of the picture, if I’m being honest the content aware tool honestly messed me up so I was forced to use the clone stamp tool to rebuild the wall/fence in the stadium which is what you see in the back, this would’ve honestly turned out so much better if I was good at using both the clone stamp and the content aware tool, but honestly this is all a working experience and I’m proud of the finishing product.

In short Non-destructive image editing protects your original work by allowing changes without permanently altering the image.

Using layers in programs like Photoshop lets you adjust colors, brightness, and contrast without changing the original. Layer masks let you hide or reveal parts of an image instead of erasing, so nothing is lost. Smart objects allow resizing and effects without losing quality.

Saving files in formats like PSD or TIFF keeps edits separate, so you can go back and adjust them anytime. RAW files also preserve all image details for more flexible editing.
