 Illustrator Thoughts


Well, I didn't get to dive in to adobe illustrator but i've heard you are able to do things like create curves easily, create logos and more. I hope to get in to illustrator this year because i've researched and heard that it's a very fun app to use while also being a great skill to have, if you know how to manage illustrator you can very easily have a future in graphic design and things of that nature.  I'm honestly kind of jealous that my classmates have gotten a head start with the app because it seems like a lot of fun. I hope to make logos and other things that can lead to me perusing graphic design in the future . I've also heard that some of the things that are done on photoshop can also be done on illustrator. I want to explore expressive lines, freeform sketches and other things of that nature. I like the fact that there are many jobs that can be practiced through illustrator. Some of these jobs include marketing designer, fashion designer, graphic designer, graphic artist and more. I want to know what the difference is between Adobe illustrator and other adobe programs like adobe express, adobe photoshop and more. I would also like to know what other programs we will be learning about this year.

recreating repetition

 Im so glad we are no longer using indesign. Using illustrator taught me how easy adobe apps should be to use. I learned a lot of new tools like the [paintbrush tool and during this project i also used grouping and locking layers quite a lot. I love illustrator and i honestly hope we stop using indesign, recreating my work from last year was honestly so fun.

Logo Development

25 PENCIL ROUGHS     Sketching rough drafts for my company’s logo in my notebook was a surprisingly rewarding part of the design process. There’s something about putting pen to paper that helps ideas come out more freely. Without the pressure of making everything perfect, I felt more comfortable playing around with different shapes, lettering styles, and concepts that could represent the brand. Some ideas came quickly—little sparks from thinking about what the company stands for—while others took more time to figure out. What I liked most about this stage was how flexible it felt. I could cross things out, circle parts I liked, or draw several versions of the same idea in a row. The notebook became a messy but useful space where creativity wasn’t limited.
